The pros of owning a netbook is that they are
small, inexpensive, light weight and portable, as well as providing
the user a good battery life. This means when you are on a trip or
you want to do your homework in the park your netbook is ready to
go with you. The best thing is that in these tough economic times,
the netbook allows financially challenged families the chance to
own a computer.
The cons of having a tiny netbook is the size of the screen and the
keyboard with the small 8.9 inch to the 10.1 inch screen, your eyes
will have to adjust to the tiny words on the screen. If you are a
typist who types by touch, you will quickly learn that because to
the reduced size of the keyboard, many of the keys have been
readjusted and may not be in the place that you are used to them
being, which means typing speed is not an option. Another problem
is the amount of storage you get, instead of the larger 120-160GB,
you may find that some have the "solid state drive" which comes
with 4-12GB of space. Additionally, the central processing power
will be greatly reduced, which means that activities such as
gaming, "hi def" video playback and editing video will not be ideal
for your little netbook. You will also need to watch movies or
download software off the web, as your netbook does not have DVD or
CD Roms on the product.
